About Us
For the vast majority of companies, your biggest asset is your team, and by keeping them healthy and happy you can take your business from strength to strength.
Our aim at Aardvark is to help you realise this potential for YOUR team.
With 1.8 million people suffering from a work-related illness in 2021/22, it shows that not enough is being done to protect employee health at work.
We are on a mission to help as many companies as possible, of all shapes and sizes, to realise the huge potential within their teams by providing them with our Occupational Health services, so that not only will all the companies we help benefit, but that other companies around the country may spot the achievements of the businesses we work with, and wonder how it’s been done. Hopefully this will lead them to realise the unrealised gains that are hiding within their team, just an occupational health advisor away.
Dr Catherine Lewis
Clinical Director
Aardvark is led by former GP with eighteen-years experience, Dr Catherine Lewis, who having seen many patients walk through the doors of her practice, realised the huge opportunity available to businesses if they only provided their employees with the services required to support their health and wellbeing.
We ensure our whole team is trained to ensure they are suitably qualified to provide the services we offer.
Dr Catherine Lewis, our Clinical Director, has a Diploma in Occupational Medicine and is progressing towards her MSc. What’s more, at the end of 2022, the huge effort and ambition she applies to Aardvark Occupational Health was recognised with her being awarded the Women in Health award at the West Country Women Awards.
As an independent Occupational Health provider we are in the unique position to be able to provide expert advice with the impartiality required to be trusted by both employer and employee.
We are Doctor led, which is uncommon among OH providers, but puts us in an extremely strong position to have the knowledge to understand, and advise on, the health of a business’ employees.
Our fully equipped Mobile Medical Centres give us the ability to visit customer sites with everything we could need to perform the required assessments on employees, while minimising the impact on their working day and keeping their business running smoothly and efficiently.
In the past year we’ve invested in a fully bespoke IT system which has enabled us to complete reports and issue certificates is as short a timeframe as possible and give customers the peace of mind that their employees health is being monitored. This has enabled us to significantly reduce the amount of paper we use and reduce our carbon footprint.
We make a huge effort to engage with our customers prior to our visit as we feel it is vital to not only understand the way they work so we can determine how it can impact their employees’ health and wellbeing, but helping us to build trust between their business and ours will instil the confidence in them that if they have any health concerns, we are here to help.
We don’t like tying customers down with long and onerous contracts. We want them to continue to use us for their OH needs because they value us and the service we provide, not because they have to.
In the last twelve months we’ve doubled in size, and our multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses and technicians are passionate about providing the highest level of service excellence.
With Technicians based from the South West up to Newcastle, we’re now in a position to help even more businesses with the continued health of their employees.
