Plant Operative Medicals

Employees using plant vehicles can be more at risk for hazards in the workplace and therefore it is important to ensure they are fit to operate the machinery and that any risks to their health or that of others is minimised.

Employees can be working in many environments and can be exposed to a wide variety of substances as well as risk conditions. A Plant Operative medical will screen for any pre-existing medical problems and ensure fitness for role, and also monitor exposure to hazards.

We offer the following tests:

A screening questionnaire to identify workplace risks and any developing symptoms – noise and hearing loss, respirable substances, visual loss, vibration, manual handling and repetitive work
A medical examination by a nurse or doctor
Spirometry
Audiometry
HAVS ( Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome) examination
Mobility assessment/ Musculoskeletal examination
Skin assessment
Visual assessment
Blood or urine tests for Harmful substances
